For many of us, the RMS Titanic is more than just an interesting part of history. We feel connected in a way that we are reluctant to explain or even try to comprehend. Past-life memories (especially having to do with something as great and constantly in the media as Titanic) are looked upon with aversion by many who don't understand.

Flashes of knowingness, memories of a time 86 years past. . . . We are the lucky few who were born with "dual memories" of that night. If you have a story to share, you have come to the right place. We will listen and not pass judgment, for we are living the same situation.

In the life right before this one I was Lucy Bride--wife of Titanic's junior wireless operator. I remember being nine years old and having an intense interest in Titanic. There weren't any good books out at the time so I kept pretty quiet about it. When I was twelve, I announced to my mom out of the blue that I wanted to go to the library and find Titanic books. She took me, and I happily read what I could. When I was 19, the memories that had been floating to my conscienceness in fleeting moments all my life, finally broke free when I first heard Titanic--the musical. Hearing Martin Moran's portrayal of Harold Bride set something off inside my subconscious and the memories started pouring back. The first vivid memory was a post-Titanic one of honeymooning in Isle of Skye, Scotland. Harry was standing on a large hill (or small mountain) with a breath-taking view behind him, hat in hand, while Lucy tried to take his picture. He was complaining about the heat and having to climb all the way up there. Lucy, smiling, and trying desperately not to laugh, cajoled him by saying "Come on, Harry! Smile. For me?" He made a face, before looking straight ahead, and *click* the picture was taken. This was followed by many other vivid memories till, now, I remember more of my life as Lucy than my own childhood.

Harry would wake up almost nightly from horrible nightmares of the sinking, and Lucy would hold him, and try to calm him down, as he recounted it.

The reincarnation of Mr. Thomas Andrews is the co-designer of this site. We have spoken, and shared memories of that fateful night, and the tiny details match up. (Murdoch DID NOT commit suicide--he was washed off by the wave.) We hope that others will come forward and share their memories. Through us, that night truly and faithfully lives on.....

My name is William Barnes. When I was 4 years-old I drew a ship with four smokestacks and told my mother: "This was my ship, but she died." I also insisted my name was really Tommie.

Since earliest childhood I've been haunted by double memories of a life I once lived as Irish shipbuilder, Thomas Andrews. During this lifetime I've heard so much about Titanic's flawed design and the "arrogance" of the builders, knowing full well that Thomas Andrews, literally gave his life trying to build Titanic right.

With the help of hypno-therapist, Dr. Frank Baranowski, I was able to confront my double memories head on. Our work together lead to my book: I Built the Titanic: Past Life Memories of a Master Shipbuilder.

I know now that Tommie's heart goes on. I am here to clear his name and tell the world what REALLY sank Titanic. If you would like to read the complete afterword for the print version of "I Built The Titanic", please click on this link.

With her recollections as the wife of Harold Bride, the surviving wireless operator, "Lucy" has joined me in re-writing history and setting the record straight about RMS Titanic.

"Lucy" and I welcome you and are here to listen, to share and to help. If you have double memories of Titanic or even another past life, you are NOT alone. If you have any questions, please free to join the Titanic Memories discussion list or email either of us privately.

A Letter From Edward Kamuda of the Titanic Historical Society

Recently, my publisher sent a complimentary copy of I Built the Titanic and Past-life Interview
With Titanic's Designer to Mr. Edward Kamuda, President and founder of the Titanic Historical Society. His response to my story was less than enthusiastic. It was in fact, quite vehement toward myself and my books.

I have found, in the realm of discussion, that the first one to throw out insults has lost the debate. I was appalled that Mr. Kamuda would represent himself and his organization (using THS Letterhead) in the manner in which he did. The diatribes he tossed my way were gratuitous. This is not, I think, the way historians or academics should act, even if the subject area is controversial, or hits a nerve personally.

Furthermore, the more I read Mr. Kamuda's letter to my publisher (Edin Books, Inc.) The more I realized that he apparently did not pay much attention to the content or context of the story. Had he listened more attentively, most of his "observations" would not have appeared.

Clearly Mr. Kamuda does not believe in reincarnation, and dismissed my books out of hand for that reason. It would have been far-better had he admitted his disbelief and merely wrote back politely a terse: "Thanks, but no thanks." Instead he chose a much more aggressive route.

I submit portions of this letter for two reasons: 1) because I feel that it will educate those involved in their own past-life search about what awaits them in the real world. 2) I hope that my responses can serve as example of how to respond to critics/skeptics without giving in to their negative perspective. From: Edward Kamuda, President/Founder, The Titanic Historical Society. A Message from William Barnes in response to a letter from Mr. Edward Kamuda president of the Titanic Historical Society(THS).
